Get to know Janiel!

Hello....... My name is Janiel.  I live in the land of sunshine. The Arizona desert in the USA. I have been married for 30 plus years now and have 3 grown sons. The youngest (23) is back home living with us again. So the nest is not empty anymore..I love to have him home with us!

I have been a crafty person my whole life and enjoy so many different types of crafty things. I just don't have time to get it all done. My favorite things in crafting is card making and quilting. I find time each day to do both of these things. It is like an addiction!!!  LOL... just can't get enough of either!!

I started a blog in April 2009 it share my little cards and scrapbooking layouts. I found that there was a whole world out there that loved to do the same things as I. I have made so many friends all over the world!! It has been a big growing experience for me!  I have found that my coloring really has grown since I first started this in 2009. I don't feel that my style has not changed. But what is my style??? I really don't know. But I am so big on details. All of the little things. I love to stuff my cards full of the little detail things!!  Okay I have to say that I would have a hard time making my kind of cards without my favorite tool.. THE SEWING MACHINE! It is not very often that I don't sew on my cards. I love to sew all of the layer together and the look that it gives the card. But then I would have withdrawals if I couldn't sew something each and everyday. LOL...

My stamping goal. hummmmmmmmm I would have to say that I want and need to improve on my coloring skills. I just started to use copic markers on all of the image this past December.  I have a lot to learn and would love to master this. Something else that I would love to learn is how to paint with distressed inks sometime in the near future.

Happy crafting, Janiel

Get to know Barbara!

Design Team Member

A big “Howdy” from Texas! I’m thrilled to be here and to share my creations and ideas with everyone! I've been into arts and crafts sense I could run with scissors and my main hobby is scrapbooking. However, I've been making cards for over nine years and my hobby room is overflowing. (Don’t worry, I’m sure I can fit more!) I discovered Copic markers a year ago and was thrilled at being able to combine two more enjoyable interests of mine - coloring and stamping.

Random facts about me: I also love to draw, read, take naps and play with toys – I’m just a kid at heart. Very Happy I'm a night owl and make most of my cards after everyone goes to bed. As for the rest of the day, like most of us, I'm a headless chicken. Owls and chickens – ‘who’ knew they’d go so well together!

I live by the motto “A stamp a day keeps the stress away” and I look
forward to creating along side this amazing team! Ya’ll come back now!"

Get to know Myrna!

Design Team Member

Hello, my name is Myrna Irwin. My husband and I of 34 years live in Southeastern Iowa. We both grew up in South Dakota I still miss the Western side of the state with Mt. Rushmore, Badlands, etc. In a heartbeat I would move to the mountains. We love hiking and I love taking pictures. We have one son who is majoring in Park Management. When Randy retires we'd love to go to whatever park he is at and volunteer there.

I started stamping in 1994. I quickly became immersed in scrapbooking as photography is my number one love. At the end of 2009 I was introduced to Magnolia and hAnglar stamps and of course Copics and quickly became addicted to them all.

I make cards as I did scrapbooking, my image is my main point. Right now I'm just using my Copics. I did try watercoloring it is something I'd like to try again.

I love using the Nestabilities I believe they add so much to a card. So, I guess I couldn't live without my Nestablilities and Big Shot.

My goals are to step outside my box more often and try new ideas and techniques. Also I'd like to get more proficient with my Copics.

I would like to thank Angie for giving me this opportunity to spread my wings and step outside my box. Looking forward to working with all the super talented ladies in this group.

Get to know Lena Katrine!

Design Team Member

Name:
Lena Katrine Ă˜ien

Where you are from/grew up:
I'm a 35 years old girl who live in Osen, Norway, together with my 'hubby' for 15 years, our 2 children Angela aged 12 and Leander soon to be 10, and our lovely cat (the queen of the house) aged 13.

What's your stamping style:
I've been stamping and making cards for almost 5 years now, but it's still hard to describe my own style Smile But I'm very fond of sweet images, layers of beautiful papers and lots of georgeous details on my creations Smile

What's your favorite technique:
My all time favourite technique must be colouring images!!! I colour my images with Distress Ink, Promarkers or Prismacolors, but my favorite colouring technique at the moment is definitly Prismacolors. I love how I can go from real soft pastels to bold and bright colours with them, and that they are so easy to use/control.

Favorite tool you cannot craft without:
I'm totally addicted to my Cuttlebug and dies!!! I love the range of dies on the market, and all the possebilities they give when I'm creating.

Do you have a stamping goal:
My main goal with my crafting, is continuing having fun and enjoying my hobby. When my little dream about having my own craft room is coming true (Yey!) finally, I think I'm gonna enjoy it even more Smile

Thank you so much Angie, for giving me this opportunity! I'm so looking forward to be working with this cute range of images, and to start this journey with this incredably talented team of ladies Smile

My favorite technique is stamping and colouring so I can't live without my copics Smile I would say i haven't really thought of my style but I definately LOVE to create scenes with lots of layers.

My favorite pastime and what truly makes me happy is to spend as much time with my family outdoors. My family is my world that keeps me going everyday.

My goal is to strive to improve my colouring skills. To learn new techniques  and mainly step out of my comfort zone.

Get to know Angela Wood!

Design Team Member

Hi there! My name is Angela Wood.  I have lived in Connecticut most of my life. I have been married to my wonderful husband Brian since 1993 and we have 2 children, Elena (age 13) and Christina (soon to be 9). We have 2 cats and a dog (mini Australian Shephard).  I work 2 days a week at the school in the "afterschool program" but am primarily a stay at home mom.  Before discovering rubber stamping, I used to tole paint and cross stitch but have dropped all that when I discovered rubber stamping about 2 years ago.  I love to color using Copics but am experimenting with Prisma pencils and Distress inks.  My favorite tools are my Cricut machine and my Grand Calibur die cutting machine. My goal is to color using many different mediums (ie. pencils and watercolors) and improve on my copic coloring.

I am thrilled to get to work with so many talented designers and I look forward to getting to know you all better. Thank you, Angie, for asking me to be part of your new adventure.

Get to know Mindy!

Design Team Leader

Hello everyone! I'm Mindy also known as StampinMindy. I live in Southern California, where I grew up. I'm 29 years old and have 3 beautiful kids. My job is a stay at home mom, which is a job 24/7! When I'm not stamping I'm either cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, being a taxi, sometimes simultaneously.

I have been stamping for about 4 1/2 years. I've really come out of my shell in the last year! My favorite tools are my Copic Markers. I've only been using them for about a year and a half. I just love them. Coloring is my favorite part of card making. In the last 6 months masking has been my most used and favorite technique.

I am honored to be on the 'Little Darlings' design team, let alone be the design team leader with so many extremely talented designers!! I am so thrilled Angie asked me. She's been a very good friend of mine over the last year and I'm so happy to join her on this exciting journey!

Get to know Angie Hunt!

Love to Stamp Owner

I'm commonly known as Angela Hunt, but about a year and a half ago, I became 'ScrapGirl' and I've never looked back!  I've lived in Michigan, USA all my life, but would move to a warmer climate if I could convince my parents to do the same.  I'm married 11 years now to the most supportive and encouraging guy and we have a 7 year old son and a 9 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

When in my studio, my favorite things to color with are watercolors and Copic markers.  I usually gravitate towards darker, more muted colors and deep shadows.  I love things to look very rich in color.  Besides my paint brush and Copics, my favorite crafting tool would have to be the Big Shot.

With the opening of my 'Love To Stamp' store, the launch of my 'Little Darlings' rubber stamp line, and the start of this challenge blog, I am so thrilled to be seeing so many of my crafting dreams come true.  Some of the most amazing crafters have joined this Design Team and I admire each and every one of their talents.  Thank you ladies!  You're all awesome!!!  I want to extend a special "Thank you" to my most wonderful friend, Mindy Baxter.  Mindy, without all of your help and creative ideas, this adventure would be a lot less fun, a lot more work for me, and probably not as successful as I hope it's going to be.  Thank you so much sweetie Smile
